After the meeting, Mr. William Deng had an active communication with Mr. Steiner and introduced the efforts Kingdom Healthcare had made to respond to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development enacted by the UN in 2016.

Since 2015, Kingdom Healthcare has been implementing the ethnic minority women empowerment project Happiness on Fingertip in cooperation with UNDP, aiming at Miao embroidery-related poverty alleviation. After 3 years of hard work and exploration, great-leap-forward progress has been made and the project is gradually shifting from "poverty alleviation" to "intelligence support".

In the beginning, the main task of this project was to teach women of Kaili Village, Guizhou embroidery skills so that they could make a living on their own. But now, rural cooperatives have been established, workplaces and equipment have been provided, and targeted trainings (E-commerce operation, leadership, business specifications and design) have been organized to achieve diversified “intelligence support”.

This project has bridged external enterprises and embroidery industry to create an effective industrial development space for Miao embroidery culture.

In order to avoid disease caused poverty, Kingdom Healthcare has been regularly imparts the latest women's health and medical knowledge to village doctors.

With the above measures, this project has created a sustainable blood-making mode for Miao embroidery regions to improve their self-reliance ability of female embroiders and help women in ethnic minority regions live a better and happier life.
